Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms

These terms apply to all course, experience, hire and group bookings made with Walls in the Woods Ltd ("we," "us," "our"). By booking with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings & Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking for all courses and experiences. Your place is only confirmed once payment has been received. Hire and Group Bookings are confirmed separately via written agreement following your enquiry.

3. Cancellations, Changes & Weather

We run our experiences outdoors, whatever the forecast, and provide shelter for wet weather. We will only cancel a session in genuinely unsafe conditions, in which case we'll offer you an alternative date. For full details on cancellations, changes and refunds — whether initiated by you or by us — see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

4. Age & Supervision

Suitability varies by experience — see individual course pages for details. Where a minimum age or supervision ratio applies, this must be followed for the safety of your group and others.

5. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

Our experiences take place in a genuine ancient woodland, including activities such as foraging, use of a fire pit, and walking on uneven, natural terrain. By booking, you acknowledge these inherent risks and confirm that you and anyone in your group are fit to participate. Please follow all instructions given by our team on site. For full details, see our Health & Safety Policy.

6. What to Bring & Wear

Please wear sturdy, appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. See What to Expect for full guidance before you visit.

7. Site Rules

Please remain on marked pathways at all times.

  • Dogs are not permitted on site, due to active badger setts.

  • There is no running water on site; a compost toilet is provided.

  • Parking is limited — please follow the directions provided at booking.

8. Personal Belongings

We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings brought on site.

9. Photography

We may take photographs during sessions for use on our website and social channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know on arrival. We also welcome you to take and share your own photos, tagging @WallsInTheWoods.

10. Right to Amend

We may need to make reasonable changes to the content, timing, or running of an experience — for example, due to weather, wildlife activity, or site conditions. We'll let you know of any significant changes as soon as possible.

11. Hire & Group Bookings

Hire and Group Bookings are subject to a minimum of 60 days' notice and are confirmed only once agreed in writing between both parties. Maximum group size is 12 people unless otherwise agreed.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your participation in an experience, except where caused by our negligence. This includes, but is not limited to, loss or damage to personal belongings, and injury arising from the natural, uneven, and outdoor nature of the woodland environment.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment, arising from a cancelled, rescheduled, or altered session.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
